I love to read, and I like it when I learn stuff from what I read.
So, I touch on different topics and try to intertwine the little things that they have in common.
A dear friend gave me a lot of material, things that would actually help me build myself and our business, and I would like to share them with you somehow.
While we were building up our project, we encountered many things that we were told we had to do to make the business a success, and mind you, there were a lot!
Some said there had to be advertising done, and a whole lot of lead generation.
There were some that also instructed we do a marketing research first then strategic planning and all, then create a feasibility study on the different attacks we can take.
Totally overwhelming, isn't it?
But as I listened to every audio book and read every article that was given to me, one thing got stuck in my head.
Something that I have been hearing since I was a kid and something that keeps popping up in business talks and articles now that I got immersed to it.
Heck, it even came up in church homilies, if people were only listening. LOL!
When you get open up a business, first think of what you can give to your customers rather than how much money your customer can give you.
I had a business partner once, who was really excited, gave me her investment right away and told me to give her the ROI next month.
Unfortunate things happened, and we couldn't salvage anything from that investment, and she suddenly told me to return all her investments to her, without even lifting a single finger in earning the ROI herself.
No effort in making sure that all loose ends were filled, no time invested in checking that we finished all orders and delivered on time.
Hence, it all ended up a catastrophe.
Bottomline - Brands and Butter was born out of all the hardships I had to face.
Now that I have learned from all those experiences, I am only gearing towards one goal.
For you to succeed, you must give value, in any way or form.
Value is not to be forgone.
It is the essence of Brands and Butter.
